Tips: There can be variance in gemstone cabochon sizes. For best results look for "calibrated" cabochons. For "sure fit" stones, try crystal 14x10mm oval flatback "fancy stones" or "maxima" stones. If your gemstone rondelles have small holes, skip the BeadAligners and use 6mm daisy spacers instead.

Steps

  1. Follow adhesive instructions. Use a toothpick to apply small dots of adhesive around the inside edge of 1 bezel. Place 1 oval stone into bezel and press to set securely into adhesive. Use cotton swab or tissue to clean any adhesive off front of stone and bezel if necessary. Repeat with second stone and bezel. Allow to dry.
  2. Pick up 1 eye pin and string on 1 BeadAligner, peg up. Follow with 1 rondelle bead and second BeadAligner, peg down. At top of BeadAligner bend wire over at right angle and use round nose pliers to form a simple loop, trimming excess wire. Use chain nose pliers to align loops. Repeat with second eye pin.
  3. Pick up 1 link created in Step 2 and open loop at 1 end. Attach to loop of 1 oval bezel and close loop.
  4. Open loop at other end of link and attach to loop of one earring post, being sure gemtone and post are both facing the same direction. Close loop.
  5. Repeat Steps 3-4 for second earring.
